Which Version of Dragon Ball Z is the Best?

Basically, which Dragon Ball Z release do you consider to be the definitive release? For those of you who don't quite understand the differences, I'll try to explain them to you.

Dragon Ball Z Remastered Sets (Orange Bricks): The first DBZ box sets released by Funimation (unless you count the Ultimate Uncuts, which were discontinued), the "Orange Bricks" are infamous for their lousy remastering process, but they were a big hit with fans of the original English dub.

Pros:

1) Include all opening/ending themes and episode previews that all previous releases had failed to include.
2) Include both English audio/music and Japanese audio/music.
3) Each set includes over 30 episodes for a very reasonable price.

Cons:

1) The tops and bottoms of every shot were removed, cropping out about 20% of the film to create the illusion that the footage is in "widescreen format." The film is oversaturated to remove grain, which sometimes caused the removal of lines, shaky scenes, and blinding colors.
2) Sub-par packaging. After waiting so long for a definitive release, Funimation gave us a flimsy package with overlapping discs and paper episode guides.

Dragon Ball Z Dragon Boxes: Considered by hardcore DBZ fans to be the best release, mostly aimed at fans of the original Japanese version of the show.

Pros:

1) Finally, the quality we've been waiting for. No cropped footage, no oversaturated lines, and just the right amount of grain.
2) Each set includes over 40 episodes for a good price.
3) Wonderful packaging. Great artwork, sturdy box, brilliant disc cases, and each episode guide is a sturdy book loaded with extras.

Cons:

1) Features only the original Japanese music score.
2) Said to be a "limited release," meaning that they are going to be discontinued if they haven't already.

Dragon Ball Z Blu-Ray Sets: The newest DBZ release, featuring everything that the previous releases failed to include.

Pros:

1) Includes both the original Japanese music and the English score.
2) Blu-ray quality that is very similar to the previous Dragon Box quality, if not better.
3) Targets fans of both the original Japanese version and the English dub.
4) Decent packaging.

Cons:

1) Includes only 17 episodes per set for over $20. While this is a reasonable price for blu-ray quality, it is a let-down for some fans who were used to the high amount of content on the Orange Bricks and Dragon Boxes.

Which do you think is the best release? This video just about sums up my opinion, with a few exceptions: http://www.youtube.com/user/ForneverWorld?feature=g-u#p/u/23/YeLuUo9WWoY

I prefer the quality of the Blu-ray release, and I think it's great for fans of the English dub, but I still love the Dragon Boxes for their amazing packaging and number of episodes. I'm a fan of the original Japanese version. ^_^

Haha, I know! That's why I purposely didn't include Kai in the opening post, hoping to avoid the topic altogether. I don't know how long the peace will last, though... <.<

I agree that each set has their own unique positive that sets them apart (maybe with the exception of the orange bricks). But to each his own, I suppose. :D

If Blue Ray=high quality Dragon Boxes then I guess the Blue Rays.

Otherwise only 1s I'd buy are Kai, or the Dragon Boxes preferably. Well I'd wanna get both but yeh Dragon Boxes are pretty limited and I probably can't get them for like 3 years lol.

You will all be kicking yourselves when they re-release Dragon Box on Blu Ray.

If Funimation re-dubbed the original series with an accurate script, then I would buy it. Until then, I stick to Kai.

I seriously doubt they were re-release the Dragon Boxes on Blu-ray. First of all, it was based on the Japanese release, and the Japanese haven't released a Blu-ray version and don't plan to. Secondly, what good would it do? We already have DBZ on blu-ray and a re-release would essentially be the same thing. So no, I won't be kicking myself. ^_^

What are you talking about? That is Kai. That statement totally confused me! :O

Sound quality for the Japanese audio is appalling compared to the original broadcast audio.
I used to like the DBoxes before but after finding that out I was like 'Son, I am disappoint'.
